Breastfeeding Basics
Event Location: Mamatoto Village
Our Breastfeeding Basics Class will explore the many benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby. Partners or support people are highly encouraged to attend this class with you.
It is designed to increase your confidence and provide information, tips, and techniques to help you get breastfeeding off to a great start. Topics will include the health benefits of breastfeeding; developing your support system; how breastfeeding works; what to expect the first week postpartum; correct positioning and latch; signs that baby is getting enough; maintaining milk supply; avoiding common issues; tips for troubleshooting common concerns; and supplementation and supplies.
Recommendation: We suggest that expectant parents take this class between 32-34 weeks.
