You’ve made the incredible decision to breastfeed your baby and although breastfeeding is natural, it’s not always easy. Mastering the art of breastfeeding can require time, patience, and support.
At Mamatoto Village, we offer new parents a comfortable and reassuring place to get the information and strategies needed to feel confident and successful during the breastfeeding experience.
We provide breastfeeding guidance through 1:1 lactation consultations, classes, and support groups.
Our highly skilled International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC)* and Certified Lactation Specialists provide the expert help you need to make nursing a positive experience for you and your new baby.
Breastfeeding Center
The Mamatoto Village Breastfeeding Center (MVBC) is a nurturing space dedicated to supporting new and expectant mothers and their families on their breastfeeding journey with a particular focus on Black women. Our center is founded on the belief that every mother deserves access to compassionate and professional lactation support to ensure a healthy start.
Services include:
- private one-to-one lactation consults (in-home or in our office)
- telehealth visits
- oral assessment
- weight check
- personal assistance with nursing supplies
