Mamatoto Village’s Suite of Community Classes

Mamatoto Village is happy to provide childbirth and parenting preparation classes that you can take to increase your knowledge and refresh your skills.

These classes are strategically designed by our Programs Team, made up of Workforce Development, Lactation, Perinatal Health Workers and Community Birth Workers to give you the expertise you need for a confident and successful birth and parenting experience.

Each ticket include birthing parent and 1 support person. Partners or support people are highly encouraged to attend this class with you.

Childbirth Preparation

Using a multi-sensory approach, this class examines stages of labor, relaxation techniques, comfort measures, preparing your partner/support person for labor and birth and much more.

Breastfeeding Basics

This class will explore the many benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby. It is designed to increase your confidence and provide information, tips, and techniques to help you in get breastfeeding off to a great start.

Your Happiest Baby

This 2-part class is recommended for all first-time parents and those needing a refresher. This course will include newborn care basics; calming a fussy baby; resolving colic; safe sleep, choosing a pediatrician and much more.
